Registered Dental Hygienist *FL RDH Required

• PAY: $38 - $43 an hour

• BENEFITS: On-the-job training, Professional development assistance, Paid time off, Dental insurance

• EXPECTED HOURS: PART TIME, 24-30 hrs/wk

• LOCATION: 1108 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32501

White Smiles General Dentistry is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental office family. We are a small dental office with a single dentist and a highly motivated team that treats their patients like family (or better). Dr. White was voted the best dentist in Pensacola and there is good reason for this. If you are a people pleaser and enjoy making others smile then you are the person we are looking for. Our dental hygienist is responsible for working with Dr White to help patients improve and maintain their oral care.

The following dental hygiene RDH skills are necessary, however on the job training is available for the right candidate:

• Administer prophylactic and periodontal treatment using hand scaling and ultrasonic instruments.

• Document areas of existing restorations and notable areas of possible decay and disease for dentist's review.

• Educate patients regarding any recommended treatment.

• Proficient in acquisition of FMX radiographs and CBCT imaging.

• Administer fluoride treatment as needed.

• Administer local anesthesia for SRP procedures and for dental procedures when Dr White needs.

• Update medical history of patient, highlighting significant information for dentist's review.

• Instructs patients in oral hygiene technique, answering patient questions and providing other educational information relevant to oral hygiene.

• Practice universal precautions and other sterilization and infection control procedures, and maintain equipment.

• Provide associated administrative support, including maintaining patient documentation, patient communication and other record-keeping matters.

• Perform related duties as required.

Education Requirement: Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Florida.
